Abbekås Transport & Logistik Transforms into Freight Forwarding Company and Aligns with Klimat-Transport

Abbekås Transport & Logistik, which has traditionally focused on haulage operations, is now sharpening its focus and becoming a dedicated freight forwarding company through a consolidation with Klimat-Transport.

This change is part of Tempcon Group’s strategic plan to build a more unified organisation with a clear customer focus.
Klimat-Transport & Logistik already serves as a “control tower” for logistics flows, and this integration further strengthens our ability to optimise capacity, reduce climate impact, and enhance quality at every step of the logistics chain.

At the same time, Peter Möller, CEO of Klimat-Transport and Sydfrys, expands his leadership responsibilities. With this change, he also becomes CEO of Abbekås, while Abbekås’ Deputy CEO, Thomas Wallin-Jönsson, will continue in his current role.

“This integration simplifies our structure and creates more value for our customers. We strengthen both our partnership capabilities and our group as a whole. At the same time, we’re preserving Abbekås’ strong specialist expertise in traffic management – which becomes a key asset in our joint journey within freight forwarding,” says Peter Möller.

In line with Tempcon’s strategy
Tempcon Group continues to develop its organisation for the future. The consolidation of Abbekås is a natural step in the strategy to streamline operations, increase customer value, and strengthen Tempcon’s market-leading position in temperature-controlled logistics.

Thomas Wallin-Jönsson already sees positive effects of the transformation, as the company today operates exclusively through external haulage partners in eastern Sweden.

“We’ve made the shift gradually and can already see that the model works fully on the routes where we now operate 100% as freight forwarders. With carefully selected haulage partners and the same high standards we apply to ourselves, we deliver just as reliably – now with broader reach and greater ability to optimise each flow. Together with Klimat-Transport, our teams gain more tools to solve customer needs in real time.”

For customers, it’s business as usual – with the same contacts as before.

Summary of the changes:

Abbekås focuses on freight forwarding. Own fleet operations are phased out in favour of contracted capacity and close collaboration with Klimat-Transport.
Expertise is retained. Abbekås’ experienced traffic management team is integrated into forwarding operations to increase vehicle utilisation, reduce empty mileage and improve flow efficiency throughout Tempcon.
Business as usual for customers. The same contact persons remain responsible for each customer relationship. Customer contracts have been managed by Klimat-Transport since April, and invoicing continues from there as before.
Greater synergies and knowledge-sharing. By linking the organisations more closely, we make better use of our employees’ specialist skills, coordinate flows in real time and increase efficiency – with fewer empty miles and even more reliable deliveries.
