Professional driver’s day

Mother has it, father has it, and even professional drivers have it – a day of their own. On Saturday, September 9, we get to send an extra thought to all the guys and girls, men and women who keep the wheels turning. On Professional Drivers’ Day, we want to recognize and celebrate all these professional men and women who tirelessly ensure that we have food and other goods on the store shelves week in and week out. Which ensures that the industry receives its raw materials so that production does not stop and exports are halted. Who, regardless of weather and road conditions, solve their tasks at all hours of the day. Thank you for the fantastic work you do together with your colleagues at traffic lines, offices and terminals. Without your work we would not have made it work. Then Sweden had stood still.

It is TYA, the Transport Union’s occupational and work environment committee, with the support of its partners, which is behind the annual Professional Drivers’ Day. The purpose of the day is to highlight the positive force in the industry and a profession that is considered by many to be Sweden’s backbone. At the same time, it is a professional group that all too rarely receives the attention it deserves.
