Tempcon reports a strong third quarter, with increased revenue, improved profitability and stronger cash flow. At the same time, the Group continues to expand its capacity through strategic investments, acquisition plans and digitalisation.
During the third quarter, net revenue increased by 11.1% to SEK 866.1 million. EBITA excluding items affecting comparability rose to SEK 60.0 million, compared with SEK 45.6 million in the corresponding period last year. Net profit for the period and cash flow from operating activities also improved, reflecting the Group’s continued positive development.
During the quarter, Tempcon signed an agreement to acquire Hans Norberg Åkeri AB, complementing the Group’s operations and network in northern Sweden. The acquisition has been approved by the Swedish Inspectorate of Strategic Products (ISP) and is expected to be completed before the end of the year. Together with the new terminal in Umeå, where work is progressing according to plan, these investments strengthen Tempcon’s capacity in the region.
Development of the logistics property in Mjölby is also continuing, with plans for charging infrastructure for heavy-duty vehicles, creating opportunities for the gradual electrification of additional transport operations.
During the quarter, the implementation of the Group’s shared Transport Management System (TMS) was also completed across all business units. This enables better planning, improved data quality and more efficient use of resources.
Together with continued digitalisation and the development of shared working methods, these initiatives create stronger conditions for a more efficient and coordinated organisation.
Marcus Thuresson, CEO and Group President, states in the report:
“We enter next year with a stronger platform for profitable growth and increased efficiency.”
