Tempcon Group acquires Widriksson Logistik

Sweden-leading Tempcon Group acquires Widriksson Logistik. Through the acquisition, Tempcon Group further strengthens its operations and can now offer seamless delivery all the way from producer to consumer in Sweden, parts of the Nordic and Baltic countries and the BeNeLux countries.

Tempcon Group’s well-developed line and distribution network is complemented in a dynamic way by Widriksson’s operations with a focus on last mile. Widriksson is Tempcon’s first acquisition with the main focus on last mile logistics. Widriksson’s operations started in 1953 with a vehicle of the Fargo model and have over the years developed to today include 120 vehicles and about 250 employees with a turnover of about SEK 250 million. The head office is located in Stockholm with part of the business located in Gothenburg.

Widrikssons has grown to become one of the absolutely leading players in last mile and also has a long experience and deep knowledge in planning and IT logistics. The company is at the forefront when it comes to sustainability and digital development, which adds important expertise to the Group.

Trade union negotiations have taken place. The transaction is subject to customary approval from the Swedish Competition Authority.
