Tempcon Group strengthens partnership with KLS through new three-year agreement

Tempcon Group has signed a new three-year agreement with KLS, effective June 1. The agreement expands the partnership, with Tempcon taking responsibility for transport flows from KLS facilities in Gothenburg, Halmstad and Dalsjöfors.

Tempcon has previously managed part of KLS’s transport volumes from Gothenburg. Under the new agreement, the scope is expanded to include additional transport flows and a broader logistics responsibility, covering deliveries from KLS production facilities to grocery retailers, wholesalers and food producers.

The agreement is built on close collaboration within Tempcon Group, where several Tempcon companies work together to create an efficient and scalable logistics setup. By leveraging the Group’s combined capabilities, Tempcon ensures high delivery precision and operational flexibility.

– This agreement is a clear example of the strength of our collaboration across the Group and how, together, we can create efficient logistics solutions for large and complex supply chains, says Mats Söderström, Chief Marketing Officer at Tempcon Group.

Returnable packaging management – a key part of the solution

A significant share of the deliveries will move directly from production facilities to recipients, creating efficient flows and maintaining high quality throughout the supply chain. The assignment also includes the management of returnable packaging, an important element in keeping production running smoothly and ensuring operational reliability for KLS.

KLS is one of Sweden’s leading meat producers, operating four slaughterhouses and three processing facilities across the country. The company supplies products to both the grocery retail and foodservice markets under its own brands, as well as private label products for several of Sweden’s largest retail chains.

– We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Tempcon in an expanded capacity, where together we can further optimize and develop our logistics flows going forward, says Emil Krieg, Logistics Specialist.
