Tempcon’s subsidiary Widriksson Logistik is expanding into new areas through increased assignments for IKEA Sweden. The new assignment concerns transport for IKEA Sweden in Uddevalla and includes home deliveries with both curbside deliveries and carry-in. All deliveries will be fossil-free, including electric vehicles.
Widriksson has signed a new agreement with IKEA Sweden regarding the expansion of the transport assignment for home deliveries. The agreement covers an area between, and including, Strömstad, Lidköping and Stenungsund and thus also covers, among others, Vänersborg, Lysekil and Lilla Edet. Widriksson previously runs home deliveries for IKEA Sweden from the department stores in Kungens Kurva, Kållered as well as the e-commerce deliveries for southern Greater Stockholm.
Widrikssons has been running fossil-free for several years and the investment in electric cars is an important part of the company’s work for the environment and sustainability. It therefore feels good that this assignment will also contribute to that investment.
– The new assignment for IKEA Sweden means a geographical expansion for Widriksson in Bohuslän, Dalsland and Västergötland and thus that we are growing in new areas, says Foed Meliane, CEO of Widriksson. It is extra stimulating to grow with a customer like IKEA Sweden, which sets high demands on both quality, delivery precision and durability, something that is also very important to us.
Widriksson will start making deliveries for IKEA Sweden in the Uddevalla area on January 15, 2024, and deliveries will take place seven days a week.
