Tempcon Group acquires Erling Andersson Åkeri

Tempcon Group acquires Erling Andersson Åkeri AB. Erling Andersson Åkeri, also known as EA Åkeri, is today a complete logistics company with operations in several cities as well as offices, terminals and garage in Skara. The focus has been on refrigerated and frozen transports since the early 1960s, and the company is known for its long customer relationships.

Through the acquisition, the Tempcon Group further strengthens its position in the Swedish market. EA Åkeri’s domicile in Västergötland means that the company complements the geographical coverage for Tempcon. In addition to the main facility in Skara, EA Åkeri has operations in Flen, Örkelljunga, Linköping and Jönköping. Erling Andersson Åkeri started in 1951 and began to focus on refrigerated and frozen transport in the early 60s. The business has sales of approximately SEK 240 million, 160 employees and around 70 vehicles. In addition, a number of subcontractors are employed.

– That such an established and well-managed company as Erling Andersson Åkeri chooses to be part of our investment for the future naturally feels very good and is proof that we are on the right track, says Christian Hallberg, CEO of Tempcon Group. With its domicile in Västergötland, we are now well established in one of the last strategic regions of Sweden where we previously did not have such a large coverage while we get an expanded line network that complements our existing in a very good way.

– For us at EA Åkeri, it feels like a natural next step in our development to become part of the investment that Tempcon is making, says Stefan Ohlmander, CEO, Erling Andersson Åkeri. We see things in the same way and share values, which is an important basis for the future. With our investment in Skara, we complement the Group’s structure at the same time as we ourselves see major synergy effects with all our new subsidiaries for the future.

The business will continue to operate unchanged under the same management as before. Stefan Ohlmander, who is the third generation in Erling Andersson Åkeri, will also become a partner in the Tempcon Group in connection with the transaction. The transaction is subject to customary approval from the Swedish Competition Authority.
