The Tempcon Group is now publishing its sustainability report for the 2020 financial year. This is the third report that is now released and we can look back on a year that has been challenging in many ways but where we have taken positive steps in our sustainability work to reduce our climate impact. We have selected ten of the UN’s 17 global goals that we focus extra on where we can influence more based on our activities. In addition to conducting active work towards the goals, we certified ourselves according to four ISO standards during the year.
For us, it is important to continuously look at how we can develop our business models both to contribute to a sustainable future but also to meet customer demand. Their awareness of environmental issues is much greater today than it was a few years ago. Sweden has decided that we will have a fossil-free vehicle fleet by 2030, but several customers are demanding this from their transport as early as 2025. A tough ambition, but we all have a common responsibility to do what we can to contribute to a sustainable future.
Some important activities during the year have been the start of daily traffic with Sweden’s first heavy 100 percent electric truck that has been mass-produced, that Klimat-Transport’s terminal in Helsingborg has been CO2-positive since the autumn and new refrigerants in our freezers.
