Three Tempcon companies collaborating on a new transport assignment for PostNord TPL

Widriksson Logistik has signed an assignment agreement with PostNord TPL for deliveries of pharmacy goods to Apotek Hjärtat’s pharmacies. The agreement covers deliveries from PostNord TPL’s automated warehouse in Norrköping to pharmacies in the entire region of Skåne, Stockholm as well as Uppsala and Gävle. In this mission, several companies in the Tempcon group collaborate; Tommy Nordbergh Åkeri for long-distance transport from Norrköping and Klimat Transport for terminal operations in Helsingborg. Widriksson then manages local distribution in Skåne and Stockholm respectively. A large part of the transports will take place as night deliveries.

Widriksson has recently signed a framework agreement with PostNord TPL, which means that all PostNord TPL’s customers have access to Widriksson as a supplier for last mile transport. In addition to the framework agreement, Widriksson has signed an assignment agreement with PostNord TPL regarding deliveries of pharmacy goods to Apotek Hjärtat’s pharmacies.

– This is a complex assignment, which we find extra stimulating. It is based on cooperation between several sister companies within Tempcon that manage different levels and parts of the country. Since it is about temperature-sensitive goods, it also places high demands on the right temperature, monitoring and traceability, says Foed Meliane, CEO of Widriksson Logistik.

In the Skåne region, the assignment includes five vehicles and eight routes, and in the Stockholm region as well as Uppsala and Gävle, the assignment includes eight vehicles and eleven routes. The transports will run with fossil-free fuels, mainly HVO, something that was important to PostNord TPL in the procurement.

– The choice fell on Widriksson for their high quality and experience in temperate logistics solutions and pharmaceutical transport. In addition, they can offer the necessary geographical coverage and have a customized TMS platform for traceability, temperature monitoring and control of deliveries, says Per Hansson, Transport Network Manager, PostNord TPL AB.
